To call us a band is a bit of an exaggeration… COF is myself, Sam, with Todd, plus contributions from various top-notch musicians. We both write the songs / tracks and lately we’ve been doing lots of recording and writing with Nia Lynn, a hugely talented singer originally from Wales who sang on ‘Out Of Reach’ on our first album.
I do production and some keyboards and a few other bits and bobs, Todd’s the string man, he plays guitars in many different forms through many different devices.
We recorded A Great Day For The Race a couple of years ago and licensed it to Dorado Records. Highlight of the release was probably getting single of the week on iTunes, and a few other glowing reviews.
I’ve set up this blog because after a break of a couple of years, taken up with babies and moving cities, we’re finally getting round to writing and recording some more music : )
I think we’ll use this blog to talk about the process of getting our music recorded and out there, Todd might have other plans, we haven’t really discussed it other than ‘yeah we should really get round to setting up a blog’. We’ll also post links to stuff we like, probably.
There are clips from our 1st album on our site www.citiesoffoam.com and we’re also up on www.myspace.com/citiesoffoam.
Todd - you want to add more on this page?
